Officials from the GSA notified STI that it had been awarded GSA Logistics World Contract # GS-10F-0135T, for Federal Supply Schedule 874 V, a contract that specializes in providing maintenance, supply and logistics services to all federal government agencies. “This contract is a new GSA schedule contract, and represents a huge step forward for STI. The GSA is very careful as to who they award their contracts to, and we are honored we were selected.”, said Mr. Edward Torres, President and CEO of STI. “This contract will be key in marketing STI’s products and services to government clients”.
The contract is a 20 year long contract and is available on-line to federal buyers on the GSA Advantage website, https://gsaadvantage.gov/ and on the GSA Schedules E-Library (http://www.gsaelibrary.gsa.gov/ ). These websites will include STI’s online catalog and rates and make the information available to all U.S. government purchasing officers. STI will be able to offer its maintenance and management services to its government clients using this contract.
In addition, the contract includes a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) feature, which assists Contracting Officers when there is a need for a wide variety of items, but the exact items and quantities and delivery requirements are not known in advance. It can also serve end users as a source of supply when they may not have the purchasing authority they need. “Use of a BPA can reduce the administrative burden of writing numerous purchase orders, and allows Contracting Officers to directly negotiate their own terms and conditions.”, according to Mr. Torres.
